The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and Mother Parent Teacher Association (MPTA)

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Mar Sleeva College consists of elected members of staff and parents with the Principal as its President and an elected parent member as the Vice President. MPTA is an integral part of PTA that functions as a platform for mothers of students to share their concerns regarding the academic progress of students. The General Body of the PTA meets annually and the Executive Committee members meet periodically to hold discussions on various issues pertaining to academics and infrastructure. The PTA fund is utilized for student welfare and for the development of the departments.

Objective of the PTA

•To promote the welfare of youth at home, school and community.

•To secure adequate laws for the care and protections of children and youth.

•To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that the parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
